Thank you for the Open Mic. It was very informative. But as a suggestion, it would be helpful to run the call for 90 minutes to allow more callers to ask questions. Some callers tend to go on tangents which takes up time. All the open mic calls have been very useful though it is obvious the the 60 minute timeframe is a bit short.
Now to the question:
We are currently running Domino 8.0.2 and BES 4.1.6 MR1. In Domino 8 we use the new Out of Office as a service. Unfortunately, enabling the Out of Office from a Blackberry device does not work properly when Out of Office is enabled as a service. Not only does it not work, but it causes issues with the Out of Office agent which prevents users from enabling their Out of Office in Notes after attempting to do so on their Blackberry device.
I believe RIM is aware of this issue but since it is so prevalent in our environment and there is no way of preventing users from attempting to enable it from their device, is there a time frame for resolution of this issue?
We were considering a deletion of the Out of Office agent from our mail template as a possible solution but would prefer to have a fix in place on the BES instead. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.
